Gadget roundup

My organizing clients often ask me about corraling the unruly cords that they need to charge their iPhones, iPads, cell phones and smart phones. Many manufacturers make docking stations or electronics valets that purport to solve this problem, but my favorite is BlueLounge’s Sanctuary.

It’s sleek and uncomplicated. It’s pleasing to look at, and it doesn’t add any visual clutter to your countertop or desk. The Sanctuary has an array of charging tips already attached to it, so you can say goodbye to that tangle of wires and cables snaking across your desk — or falling behind it.

It’s not cheap ($129), but it does a great job of solving two organizing problems: One, it eliminates visual clutter, and two, if you use it each night as a “landing pad” to recharge your gadgets, you’ll never have to hunt for them on your way out the door in the morning. That’s worth something, eh?
